Does Anyone Recall Voting for Ivanka?

Evidently the Russians should have gotten the agreement in writing before they “hacked the election for Trump,” because it appears their handshake deal wasn’t worth the exchange of skin cells. When Trump launched 59 cruise missiles at a Syrian air force base it put Putin in the same position that has evidently been occupied by a number of stiffed contractors that have done business with Trump, Inc.

Unintentionally ironic ad doesn’t say anything about how the kids think like insiders.

Initially Trump’s attack was comprised of 60 missiles, but it appears the one containing Trump’s campaign promises veered off into the Mediterranean.

Peter Wehner, a particularly supercilious “Never Trump” moralizer, expressed concerns about Trump having access to the nuclear codes, but I think the person to worry about is Ivanka. She’s supposed to be the driving force behind Trump’s rumble on the runway, but my question is: Who elected her?

Trump may live over the office, but that doesn’t mean the United States is the family store. The White House is not one of those unaffiliated mega–churches where husband and wife are the co–pastors and the kids run the youth ministry.

His attack ran counter to everything Trump said about Middle East intervention during the campaign. Deplorables expected to get was a US embassy in Jerusalem, voiding the Iran agreement and a hands–off policy in Syria’s civil war. What we got was no U–Haul in Tel Aviv, quiet acceptance of Obama’s Iran surrender and meddling in Syria.

Trump’s attack was entirely in keeping with past GOP Middle East policy: Expensive and utterly pointless.

And that’s not the half of it. Even the description of the attack is troubling. How? Well to learn that it’s click on the link and go to Newsmax.com for the exciting conclusion.

2016 “Spendy” Award Winner Announced!

It’s time to announce the 2016 “Spendy” award, bestowed upon the federal agency with the most extensive record of incompetence and contempt for the taxpayer. Bonus points are awarded to agencies performing a function completely absent from the Constitution and better left to the private sector.

100-bill-toilet-paperSpendy winners are characterized by cabinet secretaries who condescend to attend congressional hearings, where hours are spent detailing the mismanagement, waste, theft, and general uselessness found in their kingdom. After which the secretary looks the committee chairman straight in the eye and blames all his troubles on Russian hackers.

Who was in the running this year? Well, we had last year’s winner the US Dept. of Agriculture and the runner–up Veterans Administration, along with perennial contender, the US Patent & Trademark Office.

Then there was the Pentagon, which is always in a class of its own.

So how did I pick a winner among these unworthies and who was it? You know the drill. Click on the link below and be whisked to my Newsmax Insider column where all will be revealed.

Pentagon Remains a Quart Low on Integrity

The biggest mistake the Germans made in World War II wasn’t the invasion of Russia. It was failing to line the beaches on D–Day with Members of Congress. Evidently these worthies are such fierce antagonists that installing a few Barbara Comstocks or Chuck Schumers in each pillbox would have meant a devastating repulse for the Allied invasion.

After that crushing setback the only hope for the Allies would have been to send GIs over as “undocumented immigrants” and hope Berlin wouldn’t notice.

defense_guide-to-cutting-waste-spendingThe news on the potency of politicians with regard to the Pentagon is deep in a Washington Post story on waste. Pentagon officials commissioned a study and when the researchers found $125 billion being spent on superfluous bureaucrats they buried the report.

The scenario was a little like Rocky I. The Defense Business Board, composed of experienced corporate executives and management consultants, was supposed to find chump change–sized waste that could be easily eliminated earning the Pentagon high praise and bonuses.

But like Rocky Balboa, the committee didn’t know they were a palooka. It discovered the Pentagon spends “almost a quarter of its [yearly] $580 billion budget on overhead and core business operations such as accounting, human resources, logistics and property management.”

Compare that with overhead spending in the private sector where Alix Partners analyzed over 1,900 public and private companies with revenues over $500 million. Overhead as a percentage of sales varied between 14.6 and 15.2 percent, a bit over half what the Pentagon spends. The numbers are even worse for the Pentagon, because many private sector overhead employees are instrumental in producing revenue.

Whereas in the Pentagon, revenue just rolls in like the tide and the bureaucracy wastes it.

So what happened to the recommendations from the study? How does the Pentagon compare with private sector staffing? How much do the generals in charge of firing money into the air know about total Pentagon spending?

All will be revealed when you click on the link below, which will whisk you to the rest of my Newsmax.com column.

Orlando and the Imaginary Wave of Islamophobia

When did shielding Moslems from criticism supplant baseball as the national pastime?

The Washington Post features the shocking story of Hannah Shraim who extended her hand for a shake and was instead shaken to her foundations.

“’They were avoiding my hand at all costs,’ said Shraim, a Muslim student from suburban Maryland who has worn a hijab since she was 15, describing her first brush with discrimination at school. ‘I could tell it was my religious orientation because they were very kind to my partner and they shook her hand.’”

Religion of Peace adherents in London

Religion of Peace followers in London

All I can say is it beats having a bullet put through your hand.

Publishing a non–story about non–existent tidal wave of Islamophobia two days prior to the first funeral for a Pulse shooting victim is simply obscene.

Moslems suffer from a tiny number of so–called “hate crimes.” If you want to experience a real wave of “hate crime” all you have to do is become a Jew. In 2014 almost 60 percent of all “hate” was directed at Jews and that was before Bernie Sanders went after Wall Street banks.

Abigail Garner at the University of Miami came close to putting Moslem hate crimes into focus, but couldn’t overcome indoctrination. She writes that as the number of Moslems in the US has increased since 2001 “hate” crimes have decreased.

Even more curious, in “2001 there were about as many anti-Jewish crimes as there were anti-Islam. But in 2008 that number has not decreased like it has for Islam, but rather it has increased becoming 39.4 for every 100,000 Jews.”

Moslem population grows and so does anti–Semitic crime, yet those dots just won’t connect.

Sensible people would ask if the US is such a hellhole why do Moslems keep coming? But sensible people don’t write stories like the one in the Post

Or they could have been high school jerks, but who cares?

Leaving Shraim’s shattered life, the Post moves on to the threat of “bullying and taunting and criticism” that makes life in Obama’s America such a wasteland for refugees. Citing polls without questionnaires or methodology, the Post is reduced fretting about subjective and unquantifiable bias, because the facts don’t support the narrative.

The Post lectures that “many Muslim students have felt harassed, humiliated, bullied or abused by classmates during the past six months because of their Islamic faith; 10 percent felt a teacher or administrator had treated them unfairly during the past six months.”

In our current Random Jihad Sweepstakes culture, asking a question like this is the equivalent of asking white school kids in the Jim Crow South if the maid had been short with them after the most recent lynching.

Had the situation had been reversed, say a Christian in Pakistan attacked Moslems at a Ramadan dinner; Christians wouldn’t have to worry about Christianophobia. They’d be worrying about the mob outside the door carrying gasoline cans.

Pakistani Christians would be happy to trade a missing handshake for a missing head.

The mainstream media never gets around to surveying non–Moslems to gauge their sense of insecurity after the latest jihadi outburst. Instead we have reports of bigotry “incidents” on campus, which I suppose can range from a Trump yard sign on the quad to an orange toupee carelessly left in the locker room.

If surveys and news reports continue to discover this wave of Islamophobia soon it will be as dangerous to be a Moslem on campus as it is to be a woman.

Just hours after the Pulse nightmare, Imam Obama and the media continue their collective effort to negotiate a plea-bargain for Islam. The Pulse shooter was just another crazy, testosterone–fueled male wielding a rifle no one should be allowed to own in the first place.

It’s pathetic, enraging and dangerous simultaneously. The Left, the elites and the pajama–boys in the media aren’t serious about ending this literal reign of terror. If we rely on them we’ll be electing a caliph in about 30 years.

Fortunately there’s hope for sanity. Not all Moslems are paranoid and entitled. CBS Boston reports machinegun–toting transit police poured into the Medford station after “a report of a Moslem couple praying on the Orange line.”

Certainly an over–reaction, but it didn’t bother Tahir Ali, a member of the Islamic Society of Greater Worcester. Instead he said, “The reaction from police is understandable, because they see somebody and they think of it as a threat, so I think we can live with that.”

I’m ready to start a GoFundMe account to buy Ali a ticket to the White House. Obama can use some good advice for a change.

VA Reform: An Oxymoron Supported by Morons

Both David Gewirtz and Tom Young had a problem with a faceless, unresponsive, inertia–bound bureaucracy that views people with problems as nuisances. Yet neither one was in a Star Trek movie.

Captain AmericaGewirtz, a reporter for ZDNet.com, was attempting to open an Instagram account. When he tried to log in he saw an account–blocked message: “Your account has been disabled for violating our terms.”

Gewirtz concluded his account had been “hacked,” a strange assumption for a tech journalist.

“Hacked” is the excuse du jour when private–part selfies appear in a politician’s Twitter account or an old gasmask bong video resurfaces. Since Gewirtz’ account hadn’t existed previously, it couldn’t have been hacked. Instead his email address and identity had been kidnapped, hijacked or stolen. Take your pick.

Still, the definition didn’t matter, the problem did. And it was potentially without a solution since Instagram is another web organization without a telephone number on the site. Anyone who’s ever called the IRS knows speaking to a human is no guarantee of satisfaction, but it’s better than casting your email upon the waters.

So what happened to Gewirtz and Young? You know what’s coming: Click on the hyperlink below and journey to Newsmax.com where you’ll find the rest of the story.

Obama Creates a Military Only the Enemy Could Love

Obama SonTacitus, quoting Calgacus, wrote that Rome “makes a desert and calls it peace.” Today, in the United States, Barack Obama ruins an institution and calls it a legacy.

The Washington Times reports “President Obama has become one of the nation’s most successful commanders in chief when it comes to at least one battlefield: the liberal agenda.” Unfortunately, for the country, that means it was the Pentagon that surrendered.

Times have changed. In the 60’s and 70’s Pentagon brass dedicated themselves to fighting the VC. Today careers dictate their efforts be directed toward fighting for PC.

Obama’s legacy will be a military that is perfectly suited to conduct a successful assault on Liberty University: Soften up the Lynchburg, VA campus with Hellfire missile strikes on the Theology Department. During the ensuing chaos make sure professors specializing in Old Testament beliefs are neutralized. Remove all binary gender assignment signage from campus bathrooms. Finally convert classrooms into re–education academies to enable a rigorous program of mental–building.

Although Liberty isn’t the pushover opponent many assume — they aren’t Quakers, there’s a football team and students are allowed to carry concealed weapons — there is no question Obama’s new military force structure will be much less capable of confronting opponents that build their military around less peripheral concerns.

And what will that structure look like? Here’s where I urge you to click on the magical hyperlink below that takes you to the rest of my Newsmax.com column. Please.

Sudden Jihad Syndrome’s Related Pathology

islamophobia-a-word-created-by-fascists-and-used-by-cowards-to-manipulate-moronsMost of us with a cable, newspaper or Internet subscription are familiar with the 21st Century’s global epidemic: Sudden Jihad Syndrome. First identified outside the laboratory by Daniel Pipes, the disease is typically confined to males.

There also appears to be a correlation with Islam, but that’s controversial.

Mainstream media practitioners usually apply the Sudden Jihad Syndrome diagnosis to quiet, younger men who keep to themselves and do a great deal of research on YouTube. Hobbies include building pipe bombs, going to the shooting range and collecting anhydrous ammonia.

The rest of us know we’re in a Sudden Jihad Syndrome outbreak when, for no particular reason, the young man yells Allahu Akbar and either starts shooting or explodes.

Now, in the wake of the Philadelphia attack on a police officer, I’ve identified a related pathology called Sudden Imam Syndrome. This occurs when a secular politician, typically a Democrat although weak–minded Republicans exhibit low resistance, assures us after an attack that the Moslem terrorist “had nothing to do with Islam.”

In Philly the shooter was captured on camera firing at Officer Jesse Hartnett 11 times, scoring three hits. At the news conference announcing the arrest, Police Commissioner Richard Ross said: “According to him, he believed that the police defend laws that are contrary to the teachings of the [Koran].”

Police Captain James Clark added the suspect “stated that he pledges his allegiance to Islamic State, he follows Allah and that is the reason he was called upon to do this.”

Mayor Jim Kenney — in office all of four days, but learning fast — stepped up to the microphone and suddenly underwent a startling transformation. Imam Kenney assured us that in spite of what the shooter admitted, “In no way shape or form does anyone in this room believe that Islam or the teaching of Islam has anything to do with what you’ve seen on the screen.”

CAIR (Conceal All Islam Responsibility) seconded the mayor’s propaganda. Reuters reported “At this hour, it does not appear that he was an observant or mosque–going Muslim.”

As much as I respect the mayor’s reputation as an Islamic theologian, I’m going to have to lean toward the shooter’s explanation of his motive.

Reuters interviewed Jannah Abdulsalaam “who asked to be identified by her [Moslem] name.” (?!!!) She said the shooter was “’exceptionally knowledgeable’ about Islam. A neighbor said she saw him attend services at the local mosque “each Friday” and another acquaintance said the triggerman was quite familiar with Arabic before he signed up for classes at the mosque.

(Evidently CAIR was calling mosques in Philadelphia, MS a mistake anyone could make in the heat of the moment.)

Mayor Kenney appears to be the kind of cafeteria Catholic who can support a Democrat party that worships at the altar of abortion, while still claiming to be a Christian. So if Kenney’s so shaky on Christian doctrine, what gives him any credibility on the Koran?

Here we have an ISIS–pledging attacker wearing a dishdasha, screaming the traditional “Allahu Akbar” while trying to kill a cop and it “has nothing to do with Islam”? It’s like saying Japanese kamikaze pilots wearing a hackimaki headband had nothing to do with Bushido.

And where do these non–Arabic speaking instant imams gain the confidence to interpret Islam? I’m very familiar with pre–Christ Judaism, but I wouldn’t presume to tell a Jew where he’s gone wrong. Just as I wouldn’t tell a druid he’s worshiping the wrong shrub or a wiccan she’s mistaken grass clippings for sacred herbs. But both the mayor of Philadelphia and Sen. Bob Casey assure the nation there’s no Islam here.

But there is Islam here, just as there was in San Bernardino, Ft. Hood, 9/11 and the rest of the terror attacks. It’s commonality among these events that’s inescapable, yet the powers–that–be won’t acknowledge it.

The fact is a Christian who becomes confused about Christianity will often be seen supporting homosexual marriage or Joel Osteen, but when a Moslem gets confused about Islam the result frequently involves the coroner.

There is no hope for a reform of Islam unless Moslems admit there is something wrong and Islamic leadership unites to solve the problem. Relying on condescending practitioners of Sudden Imam Syndrome to deflect blame only serves to create more suspicion and distrust.

Wolf Blitzer’s Hand–Wringing Drowns Out Debaters

Blitzer memeThe last GOP debate of the year proved once again John Kasich is the most tone–deaf politician in the contest. There he was — America’s Angry RINO —clinging to his edge of the stage with that desperate look on his face that only comes from knowing a poor performance means next time he’ll be with Lindsey Graham sharing a riser in front of a Winnebago.

His handlers evidently told him an angry, arm–waving, buttinski was not what Republican voters were in the market for this election, so Kasich decided to be an arm–waving Jimmy Carter instead.

After he informs a breathlessly waiting America that his daughter doesn’t like politics because, “there’s too much fighting, too much yelling. It’s so loud, I don’t like it.” The question everyone at home asked was: “Is her name, Amy, too?”

Good grief. Being lectured on bickering by the likes of John Kasich is like being advised on debate preparation by Donald Trump.

Jeb Bush also tried to add something new to his performance and Wolf Blitzer managed get the Moslem question exactly backward, but to learn details that you must click on link below and be magically transported to Newsmax.com for the remainder of this column.

The VA Declares War on Veterans

Combat veterans are learning the hard way they may cheat death on the battlefield only to find the Grim Reaper saving a seat for them in the Veterans Administration health care queue.

AP found an internal VA report “indicating that nearly one–third of veterans with pending applications for VA health care likely have already died.” It’s difficult to get an exact count for two reasons. Many times the dead so closely resemble living VA employees it’s hard to distinguish between the merely somnolent federal timeserver and the veteran that’s answered his last reveille.

And VA bureaucrats complain it’s hard to know if the vets were really “seeking VA health care or had merely indicated interest in signing up.” Sort of like those affluent mothers who put Chauncey on the waiting list for the best private schools and begin the nanny import paperwork while he’s still just a zygote in the surrogate mother’s womb.

Of course with the VA, it’s probably a good idea to get on the waiting list the day you graduate from boot camp.

The rest of this VA carnival of indifference can be found in my Newsmax column by clicking this link:

Obama’s Unilateral Surrender Foreign Policy

Is-the-China-Regime-Hacking-or-Just-Monitoring-their-Investment-Epoch-TimesIt’s not always necessary for a nation to wave the white flag for its enemies to know it has surrendered. Sometimes a leak from an administration official will do just fine without requiring all the logistics of a formal surrender ceremony.

The Washington Post lays the latest Obama capitulation out in detail: “Months after the discovery of a massive breach of U.S. government personnel records, the Obama administration has decided against publicly blaming China for the intrusion in part out of reluctance to reveal the evidence that American investigators have assembled…

The administration also appears to have refrained from any direct retaliation against China or attempt to use cyber-measures to corrupt or destroy the stockpile of sensitive data stolen from the Office of Personnel Management.”

Contrast that feeble hand–wringing with the nation’s last reaction to a massive attack on the homeland originating from across the Pacific. Only four months after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, the Doolittle Raid returned the favor by bombing Tokyo.

Compare that with an Obama administration that can’t even be bothered to attempt corrupting the vital information stolen during the data breach. Even the French tried to spike the guns before they ran.

The much–touted Pentagon “pivot” to Asia has turned into just another Obama foreign policy plié.

This leak offers remarkable insight into the administration, and its media enablers, mindset. The reluctance to name China because of “concern that making a public case…could require exposing details of the United States’ own espionage and cyberspace capabilities.”

This is what happens when people who have spent decades attempting to destroy the credibility of Republican administrations finally get their hands on the levers of power. Since government no longer enjoys a default assumption of legitimacy — thanks in large part to their efforts — the administration can’t simply state that China was behind the attack and expect to be believed. The naysay chorus and the media will reflexively take the opposite side in the controversy, which happens to be China’s.

Self–induced public paralysis results and government legitimacy degrades even further.

In comparison, an administration that has not lied its way into disrepute, doesn’t find it necessary to drop its drawers to prove the veracity of a statement.

Another factor contributing to Obama constipation is his viewpoint regarding the nation: A vigorous response would imply the US is right in this matter and China was the aggressor and in the wrong. Unfortunately we’re vapor–locked by administration moral equivalizers contending, “nations typically do not impose sanctions as penalties for political espionage.”

Since when is a cyber attack that vacuumed up personal records of 22 million current and past federal employees “political espionage?” With this data it’s easier for China to identify potential spying recruits, easier for China to put pressure on critical government employees and easier for Chinese counter–intelligence to identify our spies.

It’s not like Peking downloaded the Democratic National Committee’s donor files or opposition research database. That would be political espionage. This cyber attack was conducted according to von Clausewitz’ maxim: “War is the continuation of politics by other means.”

Obama’s mountain of inertia is a real morale builder for the federal employees he purports to value. During the Bush administration an over–eager and under–skilled Chinese pilot collided with one of our surveillance planes in international airspace. Our damaged EP–3 had to make an emergency landing on Hainan Island.

The dead pilot was clearly in the wrong, but China accused our crew of ramming his fighter plane. It then seized our crew and held it hostage until China extorted a statement from the US. That’s how a nation tells its employees and the rest of the world the government has their back.

Meanwhile the Obama administration is dithering over whether to offer victims of Chinese identity theft six months or a year of free LifeLock monitoring. As the Pentagon orders military recruiters to consider armed citizens who have volunteered to guard recruitment offices a “security threat.”

Yet the administration is strangely solicitous of private sector employees. When Sony Pictures’ computer network was hacked “Obama quickly blamed Pyongyang and stepped up sanctions on the regime.”

The fact is the Chinese regard Obama’s “nuanced” foreign policy as pathetic nancy–boy pleading that can be ignored without cost. That’s why China is seizing isolated coral reefs in disputed Pacific territory and building unsinkable aircraft carriers. And broadcasting a documentary showing a training exercise where the People’s Liberation Army storms a replica of the president of Taiwan’s office.

Our only hope for curbing an aggressive China rests on Princess Cruise Line. If a PLA naval vessel boards a cruise ship or otherwise impedes freedom of navigation, maybe the White House will finally be motivated to defend US interests.
